Pat Register

Pat Register is honored to be directing the Florence Camerata. She is originally from Florence, Alabama. She currently holds a master’s in music from Arkansas State University and a bachelor’s in art in Music from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. While in college she was active in many of the choirs such as Women’s Choir, Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, and Jazz Ensemble. She has performed the solos of Sinner Man, Mozart’s Coronation Mass, and Regina Coeli. During her studies at Arkansas State University she performed with the Arkansas State Opera Theatre and performed the roles of “Ludmilla” in Bartered Bride, “Ciesca” in Gianni Schicchi, “Abess” in Suor Angelica, and “Rosalinde” in Die Fledermaus. She has won two NATS competitions in both Mississippi (2012) and in Arkansas (2008). In the recent prductions of Ars Nova she has performed the roles of “Zita” in Gianni Schicchi, “Lola” in Calvalleria Rusticana and “The Witch” in Hansel and Gretel. Mrs. Register is currently a voice teacher at Valley View Conservatory and an adjunct teacher at Alabama A&M University. She is currently singing with the Huntsville Community Choir and is a student of Dr. Ginger Beazley. She is happily married to her husband Justin Register and has two children Anna and Matthew.

Justin Register

Justin Register is very honored to be directing the Florence Camerata. Justin is a native of Huntsville, AL. In 1998, he graduated from Lee High School where we was a part of the choral magnet program. Justin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a Masters in Music from Arkansas State University. While at ASU Justin appeared as Caspar in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, Vazek in Smetana’s Bartered Bride, and the Doctor and the Lawyer in Puccinni’s Gianni Schicci. Justin also made frequent appearances in Huntsville Opera Theatre’s productions from 1999-2005. He has recently appeared in the Ars Nova’s productions of The Little Prince as “The Vain Man”, Die Fledermaus as “Dr. Blind”, Le Nozze di Figaro as “Don Curzio” and La Boheme as “Parpinol”. Justin has a wife, Patricia and two lovely children. Justin currently serves a Music director at Murphy Hill Baptist Church in Toney, Alabama

Alexandra Griffin

Alexandra Griffin has been playing the piano since age 4. She studied locally with Mrs. Diana A. Pettit and won many awards and honors for competitions and music testing. For one year, Alexandra lived in Santa Clara, California, where she studied church music. After that, she attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville where she studied piano with Dr. Melody Ng and music technology with Ms. Johnna Doty. During her time as a student, she served as president of the UAH MTNA Collegiate Chapter for two years consecutively, president of the UAH Music Department Advisory Counsel, and as a member of the UAH senate. Alexandra graduated last May with a Bachelor of Arts, emphasis in Music Technology, and currently is a piano instructor at Colors Fine Arts.
